Apparently Ville Valo and his fiancee have split up. According to a Finnish magazine Ville left Jonna over the phone whilst on tour because she gets really jealous or something and she is very rude to HIM fans (though i doubt thats why they split). she also damaged his eardrums by screaming down Ville’s ears during an argument and also the incident with Ville’s neighbours which resulted in Ville’s arrest was a result of Jonna’s behaviour.

It seems as though Ville will be better off without her if she is as sensitive as the Finnish press are making her out to be.

HIM gig on April 19th at Manchester Apollo was abosolutely fantastically AMAZING!! they played an amazing set which began with Soul On Fire, Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly, Right Here In My Arms and ended in the encore with Solitary Man and then a cover of Madonna’s Frozen. yes. it was a increadible experience and MEH! im SO seeing them next time they’re in Manchester. an added bonus of the night was the fact that the Finnish Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia was sat four rows ahead of me now that was…wow. hehe anywho, anyone else who went to see HIM at all please comment !! and all that but wow, they really are an awesome live band

  Ville Valo (left) was taken into custody on February 6th in his hometown Helsinki, Finland because of his not-so-neighbourly relationship with his next door companion. He threw a plant pot at the door of his neighbour before a fight broke out. When the police arrived  Valo had to be restrained by handcuffs and he was also refusing arrest. i do believe things are ok now and hes not in prison. Silly police…

HIM tour has been rescheduled until April. Linde (guitarist) slipped after the new years eve gig at Tavista club in Helsinki, Finland and he fell and fractured his wrist. He is in plaster untill the end of January and the new tour dates are as follows:

The Candidates next gig according to guitarist Fish, will be on October 8th in the Lowton area.

Most people, me included, believed that when when Ville Valo and Jonna Nygren got engaged they got DILLIGAF tattoos. According to an interview with Jonna herself, this is not the case. Jonna has 11 tattoos, the one she has for her engagement is a “V” on her wedding finger and Ville has a “J” on his wedding finger. Also, the couple didnt get engaged at a festival in Finland as they had already been engaged for some time before hand. They got the DILLIGAF tattoos done then by a friend of theirs. Still, congrats to them both and i hope they’re very happy together.

HIM are doing a sell out uk gig at Sheperd’s Bush Empire in London on September 19th. The demand for this gig was phenominal and therefore many HIM fans missed out. However, here is some light that i shall shed on the subject, HIM have just announced some uk gigs in January 2006 they are as follows:

The Butterfly Effect headed into the studio a few weeks ago in Sydney to record the first single from the forthcoming album. The single will be titled “Phoenix” and will be accompanied by a film clip in October.

The Butterfly Effect’s management are currently negotiating with LA based producer Joe Barresi to make the new album. Joe is currently recording Tool’s new album and recently recorded the latest Queens Of The Stone Age record. The band will head to LA in November to start recording the album.

HIM have decided to release a very limited edition verson of the forthcoming album, Dark Light. The internet only version of the album comes in a collectable tin box which includes:

-The full album plus two bonus tracks - “Venus (In Our Blood)” and “The Cage”.
-32-page booklet including handwritten lyrics from Ville plus fan tattoo pictures and more.
-HIM logo-flashlight keychain in a velvet bag that projects the Heartagram on a wall.

The only place the internet only version of the album can be purchased is http://heartagram.com/internet , well that is untill e-bay get hold of it and then it will have doubled in price. This is VERY limited edition though so buy it before they all go.

The first single to be taken from HIM’s forthcoming album is “Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly” and will be released late Auguset/early September. I have only seen the video for it on Scuzz (sky channel 471) but it should soon be everywhere. At the moment though, there isnt much to say other than on Monday 25th July they did a gig in the U.S. where tickets were $5 each, not bad eh? Anyway the gig was for a dvd that theyre going to be bringing out later this year.

I know this may make me seem a tad obsessed but i suppose i am.

Ville got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Jonna Nygren at a festival in Finland, and according to a random website that my dad found earlier today, instead of using an engagement ring Ville and Jonna each got the initials D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. tattooed on their finger. This stands for do i look like i give a (word which im not going to put here because my dad will read this).

Just so you know, if your even the slightest bit bothered.

Greetings oh earthlings, i have recently returned home from watching The Candidates at their Path Finders gig. I thoroughly enjoyed myself they are an extremely talented band and im sure anyone who saw them would agree with me. Here is a short review of their set:

All The Small Things

This was a great way to start i think, and the whole band seemed to be enjoying themselves which is great. The venue was small but the atmosphere was increadable. They sounded perfect to me

American Idiot

American Idiot rocked! The crowd were really enjoying the song too (it was easily noticable by the amount of cheers that could be heard when Fish (Chris Fox) began on guitar).

Motivation

Next The Candidates played Motivation which Sam (Blower - vocals) introduced by saying “we havent practiced this one that much” but they seemed to pull it off excellently

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

This was probably my favourite song of the whole set, Fish was playing guitar and Kate (Lloyd - Bass) moved to vocals (which ROCKED by the way). Sam started playing mirracas whilst Joe (Singleton - Drums) just lingered in the background. Das war total toll!

Basket Case

The last song of the set was Sam’s favourite, Basket Case. The timing of the vocals and the guitar were great, the crowd also had an interest in this song too and demanded an encore at the end.

The band came on and did an encore which was excellent, everyone in the crowed loved it. They liked it so much that there was a mini mosh pit at the back (which i was a part of - i couldn’t help myself). The band were completely awesome the whole time and i loved it.

Evening all. ok i was bored out of my skull at school a few weeks ago, as was a good friend of mine who was in the same lesson. To stop herself from losing her mind through boredom, she decided to write “Grish’s Travels” which i found most amusing and random. Umm… okie my favourite band is H.I.M. and im sure some of you like them alot too. The new album is out on September 26th 2005 and is possibly going to be called “Dark Light”, which is the name of a track possibly appearing on the album, unless Ville Valo or somebody at the record company changes their mind lol. Ive heared 2 of the new tracks from the album “Killing Loneliness” and “Vampire Heart” and i have to say i am very excited. It sounds heavyish and very umm…. H.I.M.ish. Save up all!

Oh yeah i just reallised Ville Valo has got engaged to his longtime partner Jonna Nygren by the way. So to Mr. V. H. Valo, WHY DIDN’T YOU PICK BAM?
